2019: Year in Review
2019 ended exactly the way it started: with Democrats giddy and jubilant over our election victories.

(Now would be the perfect time to make a New Year’s Resolution to do everything in your power to make certain that 2020 ends the same way!)

It was a great year for the Kennett Area Democrats on many levels.

Our community involvement activity grew with a fantastic new event: ‘Help-Portraits’ which provides professional photographs to those who could not otherwise afford them. Partnering with The Garage Community and Youth Center, this will be an annual event going forward.

For the 2nd year, we gave 3-$1,000 ‘Be The Change’ Awards to graduating seniors from each of the high schools in our zone.

We continued our sponsorship of the MLK CommUNITY Day Breakfast and the Kennett Area Community Services ‘Empty Bowls Event.’ Additional sponsorships included the New Garden Festival of Flight and the National Night Out event of the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department.

And we had a lot of fun at the Mushroom Festival Parade, at our Spring ‘Wine in the Country’ event, at our Fall Dinner with keynote speaker Christina Hartman, candidate for PA Auditor General, and at our Holiday Party just last week.

Oh…I almost forgot…we busted our butts for 4 months to turn Chester County Blue for the first time in history, sweeping all 9 county races and winning 24 of 26 local races in our 10 municipalities!

So please enjoy the photo memories in this newsletter and feel good about what you accomplished this year. You earned it!

Happy Holidays!
