Samantha Ferraro, Candidate for Kennett Square Borough Council

My name is Samantha (Sam) Ferraro. I grew up in West Grove, and I’ve been living in Kennett Square for almost two years now. However, prior to living in town, I had stints of working at local businesses here since 2015. I started at Philter Coffee, then Nomadic Pies, and then Penny Lane Emporium. Now I work as a Recruiter in West Chester.  I am running for Borough Council because I love this community. Through the years that I’ve been here, I’ve met some really amazing people and I know there are so many more out there that this opportunity would allow me to meet and learn from. I was once pretty shy and introverted, and I’d like to credit Kennett Square and my time at the local businesses for getting me out of my shell, so this is an amazing chance to give back to the community in a meaningful way.  I’d love to see more continued inclusivity in town. I think Kennett has amazing roots, and I’d love to seek more involvement in preserving that. I want to make sure that any one person can feel comfortable going into any business in town at any time. We have an awesome community, and I’d like to continue to grow that.

I was born and raised in Telford, Pennsylvania.  My mother was of Spanish descent and my biological father was Pennsylvania Dutch. I have had a career in interior design for the last 25 years. I am currently a sales consultant at a local recreational vehicle dealership.  I decided to share my knowledge and help people fulfill their dream of travel.   I am running for City Councilman for the borough of Kennett Square. I feel as though it is my civic duty to create a better place for my family and my community so we have a place we are proud to call home. My dream is that the future generations already have the foundations in place to allow for continuous growth and prosperity of our diverse little town.  Overall, my main focus is to ensure an everlasting diverse and equal environment for all of friends and family here in Kennett Square. I would love to be able to lend a helping hand and make a difference for our town!
