VICKI GEHRT, Candidate for Kennett Consolidated School District Board
Vicki GehrtI am currently a School Director and Vice-President of the Kennett Consolidated School District Board, and am running for re-election to my second term.  I also represent the school district as a member of the Chester County Intermediate Unit Board, composed of school directors from all Chester County school districts.  I am a Rotarian, and President of the Longwood Rotary Club, along with being Chairperson of an international non-profit charitable organization.  My background as a retired district superintendent/educator, and grandparent of two current Kennett High School students, gives me a perspective on the goals and objectives of the district/school administration,  community, and School Board.

My priorities for the next Board term include:  vigilance regarding the level of taxation that we impose on our constituents; identifying and providing the support necessary to maximize our students’ academic success; and maintaining the highest level of communication at all times with parents and our community.
