It’s not rocket science or brain surgery. It’s math.
Democrats will win on November 6th if we vote like it’s a Presidential election. Period.
In the 2016 Presidential election, voter turnout in Chester County was 77%.
In the 2014 mid-term Congressional election, turnout was 47%.
So imagine waking up on November 7th to learn that 77% of Democrats voted but Republicans voted at the normal mid-term clip of 47%. If that happens, the headline will be: DEMOCRATS SWEEP!
This isn’t just wishful thinking.
Clearly, Democrats know how to find their polling places and get there on a Tuesday between 7am and 8pm. They’ve done it before!
Democrats are motivated and looking for something meaningful they can do that will make a difference. Voting is that thing.
Republicans in our area are dispirited. Many are embarrassed by the President and their county organization is not what it used to be.
The Kennett Area Democrats are committed to running a Presidential-level campaign this year. Our campaign headquarters will open in September and run a first-rate GOTV (Get Out The Vote) campaign. Thanks to your generosity, we are well on our way to raising the money needed to fund that effort.
So I’m challenging you to dream with me.
I’m challenging you to work your butt off to make that dream a reality in 6 months.
Let these two words be the mantra that motivates you:
