Apathy is democracy’s worst enemy. Please make sure to vote on Nov. 3. It is an “off-year” election but there are several very important choices to make that will affect all of our lives for many years to come.
To mention a few:
Help reverse the rampant gerrymandering in our state by electing three Democrats (Kevin Dougherty, David Wecht and Christine Donohue) to the PA Supreme Court.
Elect Julia Malloy-Good, the only candidate who has been voted “qualified” by the Chester County Bar Association, to the Chester County Court of Common Pleas.
Help keep a Democratic voice in County governance by re-electing Kathi Cozzone and electing her running mate Bill Scott as Chester County Commissioners.
Elect the first Democrat in 150 years to a County row office by voting for Lani Frank for Register of Wills and Hans van Mol for Recorder of Deeds.
Assure Democratic voices are heard in local government and on school boards by electing the highly qualified Democratic candidates on the ballots.
Additional candidate information can be found on our website (www.kennettareademocrats.com). Sample ballots for all precincts can be found at www.chesco.org under Voter Services.
Voter turnout is typically light in these off-year elections. The choices we will make may not be as glamorous as voting for the President of the United States or the Governor of Pennsylvania. Nevertheless the choices we have the opportunity to make on Nov. 3 will impact our lives in significant ways. Many before us have worked very hard, some sacrificing their lives, to protect our right to vote. Please do not fall victim to the apathy syndrome. Exercise your right to vote on Nov. 3. Thank you.
