ELISE ANDERSON, Candidate for Unionville Chadds Ford School District Board
Elise is a resident of East Marlborough and was appointed to the UCFSD Board in 2015. She serves as the Board Chair of the Technology Committee, has served on the Curriculum and Wellness Committees, and is the Board Chair of the new UCFSD Equity Council.
Elise grew up in our community and graduated from UHS in 1986. During that time, the Chester County Press named her ‘Top Scholar-Athlete’ of her Class, and the American Legion recognized her for Outstanding Citizenship. She attended Cornell University, graduating with a degree in Psychology and International Relations, and went to work in the corporate world where she specialized in strategic marketing and business development in the telecom, software and custom giftware industries. She started her own company in 1999 working with international manufacturers to develop OEM products for the US market.
Elise has been volunteering in our great community her whole life, from the Unionville Recreation Association to the Kennett YMCA to the Delaware Humane Association. Currently she’s a member of the Management Team for the Brandywine Valley Unit of the Girl Scouts of Eastern PA, and has been mentoring young girls in our District since 2007 in Leadership and Community Service.
Elise’s parents still live in the District, and she and her husband have three children.
