The Chester County Democratic Committee of Pennsylvania works locally through 18 zones, each zone is comprised of multiple municipalities. At the local zone level, the Kennett Area Democrats are your friends and neighbors working hard to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. We hope you will join us as we work together. Contact us or come out for KAD meeting the second Thursday of each month.
Kennett Area Democrats
Zone 8
We represent Zone 8 of the Chester County Democratic Party in 9 southeastern Chester County municipalities: Avondale Borough and Kennett Square Borough, and the townships of Kennett, East Marlborough, West Marlborough, New Garden, Newlin, Pennsbury, and Pocopson. With elected officials, committee people, and hundreds of volunteers, the Kennett Area Democrats KAD promote the progressive values of the Democratic Party in our area.
What We Do
Candidates
We recruit and train the highest caliber candidates and provide logistic support to their campaigns. We research, vet and endorse candidates.
Voter Assistance
We conduct voter registration drives, assist eligible voters with any questions regarding casting their ballot including mail-in ballots and polling place information.
Elections
We prepare and distribute sample ballots, conduct canvassing, phone banking, get-out-the-vote (GOTV) campaigns, and volunteer as poll observers.
Our Mission
Our mission is to elect Democrats at all levels of government, to register more Democrats, to increase Democratic voter turnout, to defend our democracy, protect our people, and restore our values; Family, Fairness, Freedom, and Opportunity.
