Brief Biographical Profile

Steve Peuquet is a city planner and economist with expertise and publications in the areas of city planning, housing policy, community development and the social determinants of health.  He’s now emeritus professor in the Biden School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware since retiring in 2019 after spending 36 years with the university as a teacher, researcher and public service provider.

Dr. Peuquet has extensive experience working with nonprofit boards, public agencies and governmental commissions locally, nationally and internationally. In addition to his teaching responsibilities at the university, he directed the university’s Center for Community Research and Service for 13 years.

Dr. Peuquet holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a master’s degree in Urban Economics and a Ph.D. degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.

He and his wife Marilyn have lived in East Marlborough Township for 32 years where they raised their three children who were educated in the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District.
