Recently Rep. Sappey testified on behalf of her constituents at the Public Utility Commission (PUC) public hearing on the potential merger of PA American Water Company and Aqua PA (Essential Utilities).

This merger would create the largest private water utility in the United States.  The ratepayers and consumers will not be served by the monopolization of a natural resource. A consolidated water utility without competition lacks an incentive to keep your rates down, your pipes fixed or your phone calls answered.  Rep. Sappey is working hard to protect the consumer and ensure everyone in PA 158 has access to  safe, reliable water at a price they can afford.
